Connecting GitHub to your organisation

Signing in with GitHub proves who you are. Connecting GitHub is a second, separate step: installing Crewbit's GitHub App on the account or organisation whose repositories you want it to work on, and choosing which ones.

Guide 3 steps

01Connect

Open /settings/providers and click "Connect" on the GitHub card. That takes you to GitHub's own installation page for the Crewbit App, where you choose the account or organisation and which repositories to grant it: all of them, or a chosen list.

02Confirm it

GitHub returns you to Crewbit once the installation is created, on a page naming the account or organisation you installed it on and every repository the installation reaches - nothing is connected yet. Press "Connect" to record it.

03What comes back

Once you press Connect, the server verifies the installation is genuinely yours before recording anything. /settings/providers then shows a card for the connection: the account or organisation you installed it on, a "GitHub" badge, and the same table of repositories.

That table is what a project's source attach checks against: a repository on it attaches cleanly, one off it is refused with a message telling you where to add it.
